5 best coffee shops with wi-fi in London

Ambitious co-working and community project in the heart of East London’s ‘Tech City’. There’s a paid-for co-working space on its first and second floor, but you can work for free at the café in the basement, where wi-fi is free and really fast, refreshments locally and ethically-sourced and there are plenty of power sockets. Ray’s Jazz Café at Foyles
Bookshop café in London’s West End. You won’t find a Kindle in Ray’s Jazz Café, but you will find lots of laptops and iPads, as mobile workers make the most of Ray’s free wi-fi and relaxed, no-pressure-to-leave attitude. Read full review
Wellcome Collection Café
Bright and futuristic candy-coloured café, a stone’s throw from London Euston railway station. Wi-Fi is free, but if you plan on staying long, prepare to pay your way in coffee. Read full review
The café at the British Film Institute on London’s cultural South Bank is buzzing with mobile workers. Wi-fi is fast and free and the space is comfortable for long spells of work and animated meetings – informal or professional. Read full review

These are some of my favourite laptop-friendly places in London – they vary in terms of location, connectivity and power supply. However, the search is still on for the absolute best!
